Privacy Policy

Effective October 12, 2026

Syfter is made by TCTCTC LLC (“we”). This policy covers the Syfter app for Mac and this website.

The short version

Syfter does not collect, store or share any of your data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app is not allowed to connect to the internet at all, so nothing about you or your library can leave your Mac through it.

What stays on your Mac

To do its job, Syfter keeps a few things in its own private storage on your Mac:

We never see any of this. Deleting Syfter removes it.

Apple Music

If you turn on Apple Music, macOS asks you to allow Syfter to access your media library and to control the Music app. Syfter uses that access only to list the songs downloaded to your Mac and, when you approve it, to remove the songs you rejected from your library. It does not read your listening history, your account or anything streamed.

Your files

Syfter plays the audio files you choose, reads their tags and artwork to show them, and moves the files you reject to a folder you pick. It never deletes your audio.

Crash reports

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in macOS settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. These come from Apple under its own privacy policy, and we use them only to fix bugs.

This website

This site has no cookies, analytics or tracking. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to run and secure its service. See GitHub’s privacy statement.

The site’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads. See Google’s privacy policy.

Email

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and we do not share them.

Children

Syfter collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date above.
